JCDecaux Signs up to the Quadrent Green Lease

Quadrent is excited to announce that JCDecaux Australia, a global leader in outdoor advertising, has joined the Quadrent Green Lease initiative. This partnership highlights JCDecaux Australia's commitment to integrating sustainability into all aspects of their business, aligning with their broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.

As part of JCDecaux Australia’s recent office move and IT refresh, Quadrent provided a mix of leasing solutions: while their new monitors were leased on a traditional lease, their laptops were secured through Quadrent’s Green Lease.

This partnership aligns with two key impact areas of JCDecaux Australia’s ESG strategy: Optimised Environmental Footprint and Responsible Business Ecosystem. By opting for leasing solutions, JCDecaux Australia is embedding sustainable procurement practices into their operations and curbing e-waste through responsible lifecycle management of their IT equipment.

A key feature of the Quadrent Green Lease agreement is JCDecaux Australia’s pledge to donate 20% of their devices at the end of the lease term to digital inclusion initiatives. These devices will be distributed to communities in need through The Smith Family, an organisation focused on supporting disadvantaged youth across Australia.

Quadrent and JCDecaux Australia share a history that dates back to 2018, initially collaborating on asset financing projects, lease accounting, and lease management support.

David Watkins, JCDecaux Australia’s CFO, commented, "Part of our ESG mission is to ‘integrate sustainability into everything we do’, and our IT leasing is no different. Quadrent was able to provide competitive rates and a sustainable outcome consistent with our broader strategy.

“The flexibility and sustainability benefits of the Quadrent Green Lease made it an easy choice for JCDecaux Australia.”

Peter McIntyre, Quadrent’s General Manager for Australia, added, “JCDecaux’s decision to join the Quadrent Green Lease is a testament to their forward-thinking approach to both business and sustainability. We are proud to partner with them on this journey and help them achieve both commercial and environmental goals.”

The partnership with JCDecaux showcases the growing trend of businesses prioritising ESG objectives, and the Quadrent Green Lease provides the perfect avenue to meet these targets without compromising on performance or cost.
