Over $33,000 raised on Quadrent's golf day for curekids!!
Quadrent's 2nd Annual Curekids golf day took place on the 30th November 2017 at Auckland's North Shore Golf course. We'd like to thank everyone involved and are proud to announce $33k was raised for Curekids.
The first hurdle was overcoming the Auckland weather, with a forecast of thunderstorms and hail we were unsure of what to expect. In true style the sun was out about 30 minutes after tee off. The day started with some burgers and began just after 12pm with volunteers driving carts with drinks and snacks to keep the players going.
In line with the spirit of the day Oceania and Quadrent put on some fun holes. One involved a tee off in a paddling pool and the other, using a boxing glove. Fortunately for all involved it was an ambrose tournament. Through out the rest of the course there were challenges and spot prizes to be won including; longest drive, shortest drive, closest to the green.
The winners of the tournament were Team Vodafone, who won brand new 3 wood clubs for the whole team.
After the scores were counted, it was time for some dinner, a guest appearance by a Curekids ambassador family and the auction (with the help of our auctioneer from Baileys). The auction items that sold included:
- Signed 2017 Lions Jersey from Curekids
- Full days fishing charter for 16 people with Seahawk charters
- New years day table for ten and $600 bar tab at Auckland's Ellerslie races from the Auckland Racing Club
- Circle Diamond Pendant set in white gold valued at $2k from Diamonds on Richmond
- $1000 flights to Brisbane from Qantas and 4 days accommodation in Moololabar
All in all it was a successful outcome for Curekids, with over $33,000 raised. Another huge thank you to all of the sponsors, prize providers, volunteers, participants, organisers and the North Shore Golf course.
Special thanks to our key Sponsors:
